I was watching some YouTube videos and I saw a lot of good thing about the EOS Lip Balms. So I went to Walgreens and I purchased the "Summer Fruit" lip balm. What made me really really really want one was the packaging. It is so cute. It's like a little rubber egg. The packaging says:
eos lip balm is 95% organic, 100% natural, and paraben and petrolatum free. Packed with antioxidant-rich vitamin E, soothing shea butter and jojoba oil, eos keeps your lips moist, soft and sensationally smooth.
I'm not to crazy about the smell of the "Summer Fruit." While it's not the worst in life, it's not the best to me. Let's go over the claims they make and see if I agree.
Moist: To be honest, I am not overwhelmingly impressed at the ability of this product to keep my lips moist. I feel like I have to use it every thirty or so minutes to maintain the moisture.
Soft: It did get my lips soft but not super soft. I have used other products that have yielded better results.
Smooth: This product does glide on nicely. I will give it that.
So, I fell for the hype and was not overwhelmingly impressed. Would I recommend this product: no, save your money. Unless it really is a big deal that your lip balm be organic (because it's not to me) I think other products on the market are more effective. I will use it all up until it's gone though because I am not about to waste my money. Unless the product manages to grow on me, I probably will not repurchase this. The only positives about it is the packaging and that it applies smoothly. That is just my honest opinion.
