I finally got around to playing with my Polyvore account. If you've never heard of it, Polyvore is a site wear you can find clothing and put them together like a collage to create outfit ideas. I like this because I can play with items I wish were in my closet. That allows me to showcase on my blog my sense of style without purchasing the whole mall. Also, I can use Polyvore and find pieces that are similar to things I do actually own. I can swap items around and create different ways to arrange my clothes and accessories in ways I didn't think of when I'm rushing to get ready to go somewhere.
This particular post for me is the latter. I actually own a lot of things that are similar to what's in this collage. I think every woman should own a black sheath dress. They are very timeless and sophisticated. You can dress them in so many ways. I also own a big black floppy hat, a similar faux pearl necklace, some red lipstick, some faux pearl studs, and red pumps. I don't own the exact items listed below though. However, that's the great thing about fashion. You don't have to own the exact pieces that other people have. You can find similar things to accomplish the same feel (whether more expensive or cheap). I would love to find a nice pearl ring and a red clutch so I could rock this look. I plan to do more post like this in the future.
Yours truly,
Coily
P.S. I have not heard of some of these websites where these pieces came from. I can't recommend them to you because I don't know if it is safe to shop there. I just left them there so you would know where these exact piece came from. I am debating whether I should delete these links for my Lookbook posts.
