Hair: I Rock Rough And Stuff With My Afro Puff

This is a new hairstyle for me.  So far, I have turned to this look when I need to wash my hair but don't have time.  However, it is so cute I can see myself wearing it just because I like it.  So, how do I achieve this look? I will tell you...

First of all to begin, my hair was already styled in a twistout.  This twistout was a few days old.  I got a spray bottle and I misted my hair.  You don't want your hair soaking wet.  You just want a slight refreshing.  Then, I apply flaxseed gel in my hair (front, sides, and the back).  Then I get a brush and brush it up into a high ponytail formation.  Now, if you were actually watching me do this, you would laugh.  If my hair was bone straight, it would be too short to have a high ponytail.  I honestly didn't think this would work on me but I tried it anyway.  And wouldn't you know, it turned out to be a hot success! There are two methods I use to make this work.

Method One
1. Grab one of those elastic headbands.
2. Put it on like a necklace.
3.  Stretch it and double it around your neck.  It should feel really tight.  You might want to do the next part quickly.
4. Shimmy the headband up your head until you have your puff to your liking.

Method Two
1. Grab a knee high or cut off a leg off an old pair of pantyhose.
2. Stick the stocking behind your head at the base of your ponytail formation.
3. Stretch your arms forward, then wrap the stocking around the ponytail tightly.
4. Tie the stocking in the back of your hair.  Hide the ends of the stocking so it isn't visible.
5. Pull on the puff three hundred-sixty degrees so make sure your hair covers the stocking at all points.
6.  Fluff your puff to your liking.

If your hair is a little short in the back, grab some bobby pins and secure your hair from falling down.  I like this style because it makes me think I have more hair than I really do.  I like to use flaxseed gel when I do this style because it holds extremely well.

Yours truly,

Coily
