Hair: I See Progress

It has been awhile since I've actually checked to see how long my hair is.  However, something happened and it made me realize my hair is progressively growing.  The other day, I had my hair twisted in preparation for a twistout.  I did not want my twist in my face, so I pulled them back so I could bobby pin them out of the way.

That is when it finally occurred to me: I now have the ability to put my twists/braids in a ponytail.  Granted this ponytail is small and the front twist still need to be pinned down, however this is a big achievement.  I am excited about this new development in my healthy hair journey.

If I keep on down this road, my twist/braids will be going down my back.  It's funny because one day last July, something happened and I had to go to the emergency room.  I still had my twist in my hair and I didn't do them neatly because I was just using them to set my hair for a twistout.  They were shorter than they are now and I didn't think those particular twist made a cute style (especially due to the length at that time).  I was sort of sad that I had to be admitted into the hospital looking like that.   When the nurse came into my room, one of the first things she noticed was my hair.  She loved my twist! That made me feel a lot better.  Although, I'm pretty sure nurses see patients looking a hot mess all the time.

I am looking forward to seeing more signs that my hair is getting longer.  What things made you realize your hair was growing?

Yours truly,

Coily
