Target & JoAnn Fabric Haul: Office Supplies

As I stated in a previous post, I am trying to get more use out of my planner.  (I would have really liked a Kate Spade Wellesley Zip Around Organizer but I have since learned that those were limited edition and the chances of me getting one is slim.)

I went to Target and JoAnn Fabric to purchase some goodies to make it fun to use my planner. First up is the limited edition Nate Berkus gold stapler and scissors.

Since I missed out on the Kate Spade, I figured I should get these.  It is rare to see a Swingline stapler like this so I decided to snag it.  I love that the stapler is metal and heavy.  I have a blue Swingline stapler but it is plastic.  Though the blue one works just as effectively, I am somehow convinced the gold one is better.  After buying these I predict myself purchasing some gold paper clips because the silver ones I have don't match.  It looks like I have been sucked into the gold trend right now.

Obviously, the stapler and scissors are not for my planner but I purchased them in this go round so I decided to share them in this haul.  The scissors are extremely sharp and I have not decided yet if I should use them for paper or fabric.  I tested them on a small piece of t-shirt fabric and they glided through like a dream.

(I am considering sometime in the extreme future spray painting my orange scissors and blue plastic Swingline stapler red.  I am doing the September planner picture challenge on Instagram [#pcs #plannerchallengeseptember] and realized I don't have as much of my favorite color as I thought.)

Next up is some graph paper that I plan to cut up and use as sheets inside my planner.  I haven't decided yet should I print dated weekly sheets off of the computer or use my stamp (see below) on this paper.

Next are four stamp sets from Target's One Spot.  Each set cost $3.  I was fortunate to get these because the Target I went to had slim pickings.

This particular set is nice because it came with a small blue ink pad.  I love the chevron stamp the most out of this set because I could possibly use it to decorate the edges of my planner pages.

This set will come in handy.  I came with a black ink pad.  You can rotate the stamp to choose from 12 phrases shown in the second picture above.  I can use this to make my own to do list, when giving gifts to people, and adding dates to stuff.

Next is this washi tape that I got for $1 a piece.  One is pink with polka dots and the other is this metallic diagonal stripe.  Below, I found some burgundy washi tape in the clearance section for the low price of...

88 cents! I could not pass up that kind of bargain.  Now I officially have five rolls of washi tape.  I am ready to decorate now.

At the One Spot they also had some light blue and white alphabet stickers I started to purchase for $1 a piece but I decided against it.  I have owned these stickers for close to a decade and have not used them yet.  I don't even know where I got these from.  I had to dig through boxes to find them.  Maybe I will think of a good use for them soon.

Finally, I went to JoAnn Fabric and purchased this cool stamp to use for dates by Dear Lizzy.  I LOVE that not only can I select the month, date, and year (up to 2018), but I can choose the days of the week.  This is the stamp I would probably use with the graph paper if I choose go that route to make my dated weekly inserts.  I'm still deciding should I do that or print them with the computer.  If I don't use this for 2015 in my personal/portable sized Mead Brights planner then I will definitely find a way to use it in my home binder.

I'll be sure to keep you informed in how I use these goodies.  I made a haul video on YouTube showing all of this stuff if you want to watch that.  Also, be sure to follow me on Instagram as I update that quicker than my blog or YouTube channel.
