Nails: Wet 'n Wild MegaLast Nail Polishes

After loving the Wet Cement color, I went to my local Kmart and purchased one of each color they had on the shelf.  Out of the MegaLast collection I am only now missing three colors: 2% Milk, Bite the Bullet, and Under Your Spell.

So far, I think I like the formula of these polishes.  In the following photos, each color is only one coat.

Pinky: Breaking the Ice; Ring: Haze of Love; Middle: I Red A Good Book
Breaking the Ice is a light shade with shimmers in it.  You can wear it alone but it might be more noticeable if you wear it on top of a darker color.  I thought I should do a close up of it because I didn't think this far shot did it any justice.

Wet n Wild MegaLast in Breaking the Ice

Thumb: Private Viewing; Index: Sugar Coat; Middle: Tropicalia; Ring: Undercover; Pinky: Heatwave
In person, to me I thought Sugar Coat was going to be a true baby pink.  However, it is more pale...almost more neutral than pink.  Private Viewing almost matches my skin color.

Thumb: Candy-licious; Index: I Need A Refresh-Mint; Middle: Through the Grapevine; Ring: On A Trip; Pinky: Disturbia
Disturbia is a extremely dark purple.  It's so dark, from a distance one might think it was black.  However, up close it is definitely purple.  I am loving On A Trip.  So far, I think it's my favorite out of the whole collection.

There has been chatter that I Need A Refresh-Mint is a dupe for China Glaze's For Audrey and that it looks like the Tiffany & Co. color.  I wanted to see for myself.

From a distance and in poor lighting you might think they are an exact match.  Can you guess which finger is Wet n Wild and which finger is China Glaze? However, up close and personal I can tell the difference.  For Audrey is the exact Tiffany & Co. color while I Need A Refresh-Mint is more green than blue.  I love both colors though.  If the difference doesn't matter to you, then you could do without one or the other.  However, if you are like me, you would want both colors.  I personally just wanted I Need A Refresh-Mint because of what it is: a mint green color.  When I'm feeling Tiffany-ish, For Audrey it is! You can see the difference better in the lighting in the picture below.  However, the difference is more notable in person.

Yours truly,
Coily
